I can’t tell you what type of love you should fall for. With that said, make sure you are with someone who is not afraid of your untold potential. If something is missing in your beautiful union, remember that you must be complete on your own because a relationship will never make you whole. It can only compliment and contribute to who you are already.

Fifteen years ago, my life was magical in so many different ways. At the age of six, nothing was more important to me than skittles, unknowingly tacky outfits and wrestling. Even though my life is completely different today, I can say that the magic is still happening. I rarely make blanket statements, but we are all clueless when it comes to love; even Dr.Phil is still working it out on this one. Everyone on this planet desires intimacy in their own special way. I am inclined to believe that our human experience simply yearns for it. Nonetheless, many people are unable to give their love away because of a deeply rooted word called the past. Our experiences in the past can inhibit or enable our present adventures with love. There is something tricky about keeping a guard up. While it serves a very much needed purpose of protection, it also requires some surrendering in order to win. Most people are guarded for the right reasons, but love can’t penetrate a guarded heart. It’s time to let your guard down.

A wise woman said that love wouldn’t be easy, but she did say that it would always be worth it in the end. 

People often say that ‘beauty is in the eye of the beholder’, and I say that the most liberating thing about beauty is realizing that you are the beholder. This empowers us to find beauty in places where others have not dared to look, including inside ourselves. -Salma Hayek

January 1st simply feels like tomorrow, rather than the beginning of a new year. When I look back at January 1st of 2010, I made no New Year’s resolutions. I just went with the flow of the earth and sure enough, 364 days later, I could have never imagined that my life would be where it is today. 

If you are anxious about accomplishing your goals this year, simply remember that we often underestimate the goodness that can happen for us. 2011 will be more beautiful than you expected, every year is always that way. Without challenges or hard work, what you want won’t be worth it. Obstacles appear to solidify the importance of our goals. Face the rocky roads with a strong sense of yourself and you will always accomplish what is needed to stay on your path.

The beauty of life resides in what we don’t know. Make a resolution to be open to receiving what’s in store for you.
